Our team has been operating our own successful full-scale makerspace since 2014 and helping other spaces plan, organize, start-up, and scale since 2018. This consulting program is great for makerspace owners or General Managers who need specific advice on a wide range of topics, fast.
When you join the consulting program, our goal is to get you results and make your life easier as quickly as possible. There is no topic off limits from staffing, equipment, facilities, curriculum, youth programs, financial projections, and analysis. You name it, we’ve done and have tools to make it quicker, easier, and more accurate.

PREQUISITES
- You must be willing to dedicate yourself to the program full time for the duration of the program
- Must be willing to make changes and tough decisions
- Existing spaces should have a Member Management System and accounting system in place
- Prior business or management experience will be very helpful.

PRICE
Hours will be tracked and billed at $150 per hour. Min 10 hours is required to start, then it is billed weekly and charged to a credit card on file.
I visited Urbanworkshop in October 2019. I was looking for advice, real world
examples and more importantly just a makerspace that had gone through the same
issues as we were going through.
Their advice, emails, blogs and articles have allowed Made In Workshop to grow
from a small 370 square meter building to over 2000 square meters. We are the largest
commercial makerspace in Southern Africa.
I still have my hand written notes from the day I met Steve in his office. We have
implemented many concepts discussed in that office and still use them today.
